Welcome to the South Portland Amateur Radio Club (SPARC).

SPARC is dedicated to bringing amateur radio technology to youth and adults in our community. We hope to promote awareness and interest in all aspects of amateur radio and to increase participation in emergency preparedness.

We work closely with our youth through a partnership with Scouting BSA by providing Merit Badge classes and supporting Scouting events with communication management.

The club a station that operates on HF/VHF/UHF as call sign WB7BSA.

We provide license training classes and examination sessions to help everyone obtain their FCC amateur radio licenses.
