Jamboree on the Air/Internet (JOTA/JOTI) – DCS Morgan

Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA) is the largest Scouting events in the world.
Scouts around the world will use amateur radio or the internet to connect with each other with the assistance of licensed ham radio operators. All scouts from Cubs to Venturers can join in the fun.

The South Portland Amateur Radio Club, SPARC, will be hosting JOTA at two locations this year. This event sign-up is for SPARC HQ in Camby; the other location is the Hopkins Demonstration Forest located in Oregon City (register here).
This location is an indoor venue where radios will operate Saturday to allow Scouts to make contact with other Scouts participating in JOTA. In addition, laptops will be available to connect with JOTI (Jamboree on the Internet) while waiting for time at the radios.
Attendance at this event is free. There will be three sessions: 10 AM – 12 PM, 1 PM – 3 PM and 3 PM – 5 PM; please sign up for one session (Scouts only).
